Meeting with representatives of international companies to involve international companies in the process of searching for copper raw materials, non-ferrous and rare metals as part of the organization and development of the copper industry cluster

On January 31, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Babur Abdinazarov held a meeting with representatives of international companies to assess the reserves of 4 deposits of copper raw materials, non-ferrous and rare metals based on the JORC standard.

The meeting was attended by the international consultant of the project office Francisco Igualada, "DMT GMBH & CO. CG" Taigler Ernst Bernhard, representatives of the company "Snowden Optiro" Aziz Kukenov and Dias Dzhabaev, consultants of the company "Project Consult" Seegers Heinz Josef and Anna Chapligina, representatives of the company "Warell-Armstrong" Ruslan Erzhanov and senior officials of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.

For reference: representatives of the delegation arrived in Uzbekistan on a 5-day visit on cooperation in research in the field of geology, copper, non-ferrous and rare metals, participation of international companies in 3D modeling.

During the meeting, the procedure and conditions for holding a tender for the evaluation of reserves of 4 deposits of copper raw materials, non-ferrous and rare metals based on the JORC standard were discussed, representatives of international companies expressed their desire to take part in this tender. It was also noted that representatives of international companies will be provided with complete information about 4 deposits of copper raw materials, non-ferrous and rare metals with field visits, direct inspection of these deposits and familiarization with previous exploration work.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Babur Abdinazarov emphasized that holding the planned competition based on conditions of pure competition and principles of transparency is an important criterion for openness and creating a favorable investment climate in the national economy. In addition, at the meeting, an exchange of views took place on research in the field of geology, the use of existing methods in the mining industry, financial modeling, and the experience of international experts.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed that another meeting should be organized following the results of the visit.
