At the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, Deputy Head of the Main Department for Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Navoi Region Kamoliddin Nurmurodov made a presentation on the results of work over the past period on socio-economic development and poverty reduction in the region.

The meeting was organized in the form of a videoconference, in which representatives of the central office of the ministry and representatives of regional departments of the ministry took part, who presented their proposals and questions.

The presentation considered the macroeconomic indicators of the region, the classification of districts (cities) according to the state of socio-economic development, the work done according to the “makhalla” system. The implementation of the points of the approved program of measures to reduce poverty in the regions in 2021 was also analyzed and the work done in these areas was discussed. In particular:

Analyzed the current macroeconomic indicators of the region, on the basis of which information was provided on the expectations of these indicators, forecast parameters, risks affecting non-compliance;

Also, based on the results of statistical indicators of the region and a survey of entrepreneurs and the population, the initial rating regions were formed. According to preliminary data, the regions were assessed as follows:
Green zones - Navoi city and Tomdinsky region;
Yellow zones - Zarafshan city, Konimeks, Kyzyltepa, Navbahor, Karmaninsky, Nurata districts;
Red zones - Uchkuduk and Khatyrchinsky districts.

After the final results for the development of red zones, it is planned to lay vineyards and plant sunflowers in the Khatyrchinsky district, as well as in the Uchkuduk district in order to provide socio-economic support to citizens listed in the iron book, women and youth, it is planned to develop a special program for the implementation of new projects and efficient use of kaolin raw materials.

In addition, as a result of the work of the "mahallabay", 1,048 investment projects have been formed. In the future, it is planned to implement 76 projects in industry, agriculture and services.

In addition, in order to provide social support to those in need, to attract them to entrepreneurship, to help them realize their initiatives and ideas, assistance worth 27.1 billion soums was provided in Navoi region at the expense of the Charity Fund and sponsorship assistance to families in need of social protection.

Also, based on the analysis of loans provided by commercial banks within the framework of family business development programs and employment of the unemployed through the creation of new jobs, unemployed citizens were placed on vacant vacancies and soft loans were issued.

In addition, the participants expressed their views and proposals on the main results of the measures taken to develop entrepreneurship in the Navoi region and the priorities that need to be implemented and the creation of new jobs in the future.

At the end of the presentation, representatives of the ministry and the main department of the region identified the work to be done in the future on the socio-economic development of the regions and poverty reduction.
