In order to fulfill the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PD-6003 from June 2, 2020 "On improving the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings and indices and the introduction of a new mechanism for systematic work with state bodies and organizations" and the implementation of the decisions of the Republican Council on working with international ratings and indices, Department of “Doing business” and working on other international ratings of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction held a collegiate seminar on video conferencing on the results of the Index of Economic Freedom and on the description of the practice and a promising model of involving the scientific potential of public administration in the process of optimizing the Index.

Based on the analysis of the index report for 2021, during the seminar were analyzed the factors of growth and decline in parameters for each indicator, the progress of the tasks set in the roadmap for 2021 and determined plans for the future.

Table shows the difference in the ratings of the CIS countries in the reports for 2020 and 2021.

Table shows the time of the corresponding period interval in the database that will be analyzed when the annual index report is published.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction together with the working bodies of the Republican Council on socio-economic and political-legal ratings and indices with responsible ministries and departments are working on the implementation of further plans and activities on Index of Economic Freedom.
