On August 30 of this year, Ilkhom Norkulov, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, met with representatives of the Fitch Ratings international rating agency, headed by Eric Arispe, Senior Director of the sovereign Group of the developing European region, Chief Analyst for the sovereign credit rating of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by directors of departments of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and Ministry of Finance, Director of the sovereign group of the international rating agency "Fitch Ratings" Arvind Ramakrishnan, Managing Director of the public sector group "Citi" Anan Amin Salim and employee of the public sector group "Citi" Gauser Robinet.

The agenda included issues on measures taken to further stable development of the republic's economy, ongoing reforms and cooperation with international organizations and financial institutions.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Uzbek side announced the progress of the ongoing reforms, the main macroeconomic indicators, as well as long-term plans for the coming years.

During the meeting, the guests got acquainted in detail with the reforms, the results of the activities of economic sectors, the course of privatization and transformation of state assets, work in the field of social protection and poverty reduction.

    The sides also exchanged views on the results achieved and plans for the development of the private sector and the service sector.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue mutual cooperation.
