On August 30 of this year, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Adiz Boboev, a seminar was held on the topic "Opportunities for implementing contracts in the construction sector of Uzbekistan on standard forms of contracts "FIDIC" of the Federation of International Consulting Engineers".

The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, Finance, Employment and Labor Relations, Construction, the Tax Committee, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the International Federation of Consulting Engineers "FIDIC".

The main purpose of this seminar was to familiarize with the experience of applying FIDIC international contracts in Uzbekistan.

  During the seminar, the participants got acquainted in detail with alternative methods of dispute resolution under international contracts, the experience of applying FIDIC international contracts in countries such as Georgia and Kazakhstan.

The main advantages and differences of the FIDIC contract system in comparison with existing systems in Uzbekistan, the procedure for financing facilities during the implementation of contracts, the inclusion of training courses under FIDIC contracts in the educational programs of higher educational institutions, etc. were also announced.
