Demographic processes and actual problems of ethnology are analyzed

Demographic processes and the development of human capital in the economy of Uzbekistan are of urgent importance. It is with these aspects that the country's economic development is associated. Therefore, this issue is considered as one of the priorities of state policy. The scientific and practical seminar held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction was also devoted to topical problems of population and modern demographic processes in Uzbekistan.

Presentations were made at the workshop by Deputy Director of the Mahalla and Family Research Institute under the Ministry for Support of Mahalla and Family, Doctor of Economics, Professor Khamid Abduramanov; Head of the Department "Foreign Economic Activity and Tourism” of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economic Sciences Zulaykho Kodirova and Nurbek Yuldashev, Deputy Head of the Department of Poverty Reduction Strategies and Programs.

Demography is a field that studies the patterns of population reproduction, the purpose of which is to study the processes of increasing and decreasing the population of a certain territory, country, identifying problems and solutions, as well as determining prospects.

- Uzbekistan is a country with an average demographic potential in terms of population. As of November of this year, the country's population was 35 million 176 thousand people," Hamid Abdurakhmanov said.

– When implementing socio-economic reforms, first of all, it is necessary to take into account demographic processes, in particular the human factor. Based on the existing demographic potential, it is important to introduce advanced foreign experience into the industry, train personnel and conduct research.

Experts exchanged views on the application of innovative approaches to the analysis, forecasting of demographic processes, improving the level and quality of human capital. The issue of the existence of a number of problems in the industry, their systematic study and search for solutions was also considered.

As a result of the seminar, an agreement was reached to establish cooperation with the Mahalla and Family Research Institute in the field of demography and the implementation of projects in this direction.
