A number of major projects in the field of development of road transport infrastructure were implemented in 2018-2021 on the basis of the fourth direction on “Development of the social sphere” of the Decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan № PD-4947 on February 7, 2017 “On the strategy of actions for further development of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

In the field of road management:

As a result of large-scale reforms carried out under the direct leadership of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the past 2018-2021, drastic positive changes in the field of Road economy have been achieved.

As a result of the reforms, over the years 2018-2021, construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of more than 45.3 thousand km of public roads and inter-farm roads in the territory of the Republic in the total cost of 19.8 trillion soums work was carried out.

In particular,

125 km of the highway A-380 “Guzor-Bukhara-Nukus-Beyneu" has been reconstructed;

58 km part of the highway A-373 ”M-39 Highway-Gulistan-Buka-Angren-Kokand and Andijan-Osh" passing through “Kamchik” pass  was reconstructed with cement concrete coating;

115 km of the M-39 “Almaota-Bishkek-Tashkent-Termiz” highway was reconstructed with asphalt concrete coating;

A 250 pm long bridge over the Syrdarya River was built around the 208-274 km section of the A-373 “Tashkent-Osh” highway;

A new 19.2 km long highway passing through Kibray and Yukorichirchik districts of Tashkent region has been built.

International financial institutions, including the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, the Saudi Development Fund and the Kuwait arab Economic Development Fund and the Islamic Development Bank have been actively involved in the reconstruction of the international corridors of the Republic, during the years 2018-2021 339.7 million dollars have been appropriated and 497 km long common roads have been reconstructed with cement-concrete coating.
