On August 23, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Bobur Abdinazarov and First Deputy Minister of Finance Omonullo Nasritdinkhodjaev held a video conference with representatives of “Berlin Economics”.

         The meeting was attended by consultant “Berlin Economics” Voldemar Volter, Managing Director of “Project Consult GmbH” Moritz Lorcher, consultant “Project Consult GmbH” on mining and mineral resources Christopher Demel, Managing Director “ECTerra” Christian Masurenko, Technical Director “ECTerra” Einar Rosman and representatives of the responsible department of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.

         During the meeting, the parties discussed the existing problems and long-term development strategies in the mining industry, in particular, the copper industry of Uzbekistan, its development based on international experience at the highest level, its geological, technical, managerial and legal aspects, projects formed in this area, as well as services offered by consulting organizations in this direction.

         Representatives of consulting organizations also shared their experience in working in the mining industry in cooperation with organizations, developing strategies for the development of the mining industry, procurement and tender processes, geology, mineral exploration, designing large mining enterprises and evaluating mineral reserves.

         Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation on issues that are important in future processes.
