On June 10, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kuchkarov met with representatives of Volkswagen Group Russia headed by General Director Stefan Mecha.

The meeting was also attended by the Financial Director of Volkswagen Group Russia Patrick Andreas Mayer, Director for Government Relations Artem Kursakov, First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Omonullo Nasritdinkhodjaev, Deputy Chairman of Uzavtosanoat JSC for Economics Azizbek Shukurov, General Director of Volkswagen-Uzbekistan Automobile Plant Oybek Ayubov and other employees of the responsible units.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the state of the automotive market of the Republic of Uzbekistan, discussed global trends in the development of the automotive industry and the electric vehicle market.

As a result, the parties expressed their readiness to continue the dialogue on the development of bilateral cooperation.
