Meeting with the Senior Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister of Hungary

At the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilhom Norkulov met with representatives of the Hungarian delegation headed by Senior Adviser to the Prime Minister of Hungary on Economic Issues Marton Nagy.

For reference: Marton Nagy is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of the Matvey Corvin University of Budapest, is a prominent expert and analyst of the international level, has extensive experience in the banking and financial system.

During the meeting, the Hungarian government delegation provided information on inclusive growth models for job creation and support for vulnerable segments based on the experience of their country, along with specific practical recommendations that can be successfully implemented in Uzbekistan.

In addition, the parties also discussed the practical aspects of expert advisory assistance based on the Hungarian experience in such areas as reforming, in particular transformation and privatization, enterprises with the participation of the state; development of transport and logistics infrastructure; measures to reduce poverty, with the involvement of experts from Hungary in the regions to study a regional approach to measures to reduce poverty, exchange views on improving the effectiveness of measures taken in this direction, as well as joint implementation of fundamental, scientific and applied research projects in the field of poverty reduction.

At the end of meeting, the parties identified further steps for bilateral cooperation in the field of social and economic development.
