Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kuchkarov met with Mr. Sándor Csányi, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of OTP Bank Group, at the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Finance Timur Ishmetov, Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank Mamarizo Nurmuratov, First Deputy Minister of Finance Omonulla Nasritdinkhodjaev, First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Laziz Kudratov.

During the negotiations, the representatives were provided with detailed information on the opportunities created in the country, in particular, in the banking sector. The guests were informed about the ongoing prospects for the transformation of the banking sector, as well as the progress of privatization projects.

The meeting participants highly appreciated the opportunities that are currently being created for doing business. The sides also discussed the planned measures for the entry of OTP Bank into the banking sector of Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, a format for further interaction was determined for the establishment of close cooperation, as well as the exchange of experience between the sides.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of live communication and mutual interest.
