Information on the planting of agricultural crops in 2020 in areas free from early sowing and grains in the Republic of Uzbekistan

In 2020, crop replanting of 858,500 hectares is planned in areas free of early crops and grains. Including vegetables for 115,100 ha, gourds for 35,600 ha, potatoes for 42,500 ha, pulse for 342.700 ha, oilseeds for 20.400 ha of lands. Also 189.400 ha of lands will planted by 57.800 hectares of fodder, rice and 55,100 ha for millet and sorghum.

About 2,254.900 tons of vegetables, 665,200 tons of gourds, 851,500 tons of potatoes, 484,900 tons of pulse, 26,500 tons of oilseeds, 6,970.700 tons of fodder crops, 245,600 tons of rice and 108.300 tons of millet and sorghum will be cultivated on these plots through timely agricultural activities. Crop yields from agricultural cultivation will mainly be directed towards the consumption of the population during the winter and spring periods.

As of 13 August 2020, 731.100 ha (85% of target) of land have been replanted in areas cleared of early crops and grains.
