On April 4, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilkhom Norkulov met with Victor Aragones, Senior Transport Economist of the World Bank Group.

 The meeting was also attended by a World Bank Group Transportation Specialist Mansur Bustoni and Director of the Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Umid Abidhadjaev, Head of the Road and Infrastructure Development Department Rustam Narimov, and other officials.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the importance of transport, the railway system, the experience of developed countries, digitalization, passenger and freight transportation by rail and infrastructure.

        In addition, the guests exchanged views on electric vehicles, their power supply, solar panels and finding a green solution to them.

The parties also exchanged views on the transport and air systems of Uzbekistan, the implementation of the transport system of developed countries in Uzbekistan, their advantages, and privatization.

        At the end of the meeting, the guests agreed to further develop the transport system in Uzbekistan, study foreign experience and exchange experiences above areas.
