On March 7 this year, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov held a meeting with representatives of the delegation of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, headed by Director General Patricia Danzi.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Switzerland to Uzbekistan Konstantin Obolensky, Head of the Department of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs Dominique Paravicini, Head of the Eurasia Department of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation Ursula Laubli and Deputy Minister of Finance Ahadbek Khaydarov and responsible representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, their results, further reforms, the main directions and prospects for development, macroeconomic stability, the development of partnerships with international financial institutions and international organizations, in particular with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

The meeting also discussed issues of inclusive and sustainable economic development, green economy, human capital development, formation of joint projects to improve water supply and infrastructure, rural development, support for the aggregation system in the regions and the potential to increase competitiveness.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to expand mutually beneficial ties and develop cooperation.
