Meeting with the delegation of the CIS Financial and Banking Council

On November 4 of this year, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction hosted a meeting of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kuchkarov with a delegation of the CIS Financial and Banking Council headed by the President of the Coordinating Council of the CIS FBC Vadim Kumin.

During the meeting, the main attention of the parties was paid to the discussion of the organization of the II International Financial and Banking Forum of the CIS member states on November 26 this year in Tashkent.

Vadim Kumin noted the vast experience of Uzbekistan in holding international events, in particular, the high level of organization of the I International Financial and Banking Forum in Tashkent, which impressed the participants of the event. Thus, the CIS FBC proposed to hold the second forum also in Uzbekistan.

Recall that in 2019, the First International Financial and Banking Forum of the CIS member states was held in Tashkent. The forum was attended by more than 425 participants, 168 of them foreign, representing 21 countries of the world, at the level of heads of banking and financial structures and representatives of various financial, insurance, leasing, investment companies and rating agencies.

The Uzbek side thanked the head of the CIS FBS for the high trust and noted that today the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, together with interested organizations, is actively working to organize this event.

In addition, the parties also discussed promising areas for the development of cooperation, in particular in the field of creating new opportunities for migrants from Uzbekistan, namely, improving money transfers, as well as facilitating the process of insurance services.

  Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
