In recent years, great changes have taken place in the field of geology in our country. In particular, new deposits have been discovered, the University of Geological Sciences has been established, modern equipment has been purchased and innovative methods have been introduced. Geology means not only mineral deposits but also raw materials used in the construction of voluntary construction. The raw materials from this name are also related to the field of geology. In fact, its range of research objects is very wide.

It is known that a number of comprehensive measures have been taken in the country to increase the efficiency and protection of subsoil use, ensure the rational use of mineral resources, as well as to create conditions for the organization of modern industrial production in the regions.

Over the past 3 years, 3.5 trillion soums have been allocated to the industry, as a result of which in 2019 - 89.7 tons of gold, 174.1 tons of silver, 5.0 thousand tons of uranium, 39.0 thousand tons of copper, 22 tons of lead. thousand tons, zinc - 24.5 thousand tons, tungsten - 3.5 thousand tons, coal - 203.8 thousand tons, basalt - 490.2 thousand tons, quartz raw materials - 6811.7 thousand tons and groundwater - 91, mineral reserves increased by 2,000 cubic meters per day.

In 2020, as a result of geological work, the raw material base has expanded and new promising areas have been identified. In particular, the reserves are 51 tons of gold, 345 tons of silver, 3.0 thousand tons of uranium, 200 thousand tons of copper, 29.2 thousand tons of lead, 26.7 thousand tons of zinc and 8.2 thousand tons of tungsten. t,, coal - 15 thousand tons, basalt - 270 thousand tons, quartz raw materials - 389.5 thousand tons and according to the forecast resources - gold - 155 tons, silver - 158.3 tons, uranium - 11.3 thousand tons, copper - 485 thousand tons, tungsten - 6.6 thousand tons, lead - 43.0 thousand tons, zinc - 70.5 thousand tons, rare metals - 4.7 thousand tons, nickel-cobalt - 12 thousand tons and hydrocarbons - 55 million tons. minerals were increased.

The State Program for 2021 envisages geological prospecting for 350 projects, an increase in reserves for 16 types of minerals and an increase in the amount of forecast resources for 10 types.

As a result, the reserves of 16 types of minerals are expected to increase: gold - 20 tons, silver - 345 tons, uranium - 3,500 tons, copper - 240 thousand tons, tungsten - 240 thousand tons, lead - 42 thousand tons, zinc - 41. thousand tons and other types of mineral reserves are grown. According to the forecast resources of 10 types of minerals, gold - 175 tons, silver - 175 tons, uranium - 12,000 tons, copper - 445 thousand tons, lead - 54 thousand tons, zinc - 58 thousand tons, tungsten - 8,000 tons. rare metals and rare earth elements - 3,000 tons, hydrocarbons - 55 million tons. t. and other types of mineral reserves will increase the amount of forecast resources.

For the implementation of the State Program for 2021, it is planned to allocate 1,327.8 billion soums, including 1,127.5 billion soums for geological prospecting and 185.6 billion soums for the purchase of equipment. soums and other expenses - 14.7 bln. soums will be directed.
