On 9 August 2022, press tour events were organized in Bakhmal district, Jizzakh region, to review the activities and intermediate results under the "Rural Infrastructure Development" Project and to raise the awareness of the public about the project progress.
The first destination of the press tour, organized by Joint Project Implementation Unit representatives under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the officials of the district administration and journalists, was a newly-constructed bridge over the Sangzor River in "Bakhmal" MCA. The new bridge is 32 meters long and 9 meters wide.

The construction of this bridge resolves the problem of ensuring fire safety, providing residents and emergency services throughout the year in Bakhmal village.
At the next destination of the press tour, the journalists visited the newly-renovated and equipped school campus in "Saroy" MCA.

Media representatives had an opportunity to get introduced with the new modern campus of a secondary school No.30, which was built in this MCA.
The school building, designed for 220 seats, is to start a new academic year this September.

Prior the school campus, it was used as a branch of a secondary school No.30, which could reside primary schoolchildren only.
Since the school campus was in a poor condition, a modern school reconstruction and fully equipment subproject was prioritized by the residents in the course of social audit activities organized by the community mobilization team of the "Rural Infrastructure Development" Project for the residents of the "Saroy" MCA in December 2020. Total sum of 447,838 US dollars was allocated for this subproject.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired the video selector meeting on 4 August 2022 regarding measures to improve public service reforms and efficiency in management, "the creation of systems in which residents actively participate in the construction of kindergartens, schools, roads, water and electricity networks in the villages" was discussed separately.

This principle is considered one of the main principles of the "Rural Infrastructure Development" Project, and the most advanced international practices are being applied among the rural community for decision-making in local government and increasing the capacity of the population in self-management in the MCA.
