On June 10 of this year, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kuchkarov met with representatives of the international "Citibank", headed by the Bank's Director General in Europe, Africa and the Middle East Mr.David Livingstone.

         The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Bobur Abdinazarov, Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Behzod Hamraev, from the guests, the Director General of the “Citibank” the in Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine Grant Carson, Managing Director in Turkey Emre Carter, Head of the Turkish Corporate Bank Ebru Sonmez Yamk and others.

The agenda included issues on strengthening further cooperation and the implementation of possible joint projects.

At the beginning of the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state of processes and key indicators of jointly implemented projects. At the same time, the Uzbek side informed the guests about the large-scale reforms being carried out in the country and further priority areas of development.

In particular, special attention was paid to reforms in the field of privatization of state-owned enterprises, the development of the private sector and public-private partnerships, as well as the transition to a “Green” economy.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand mutually beneficial and effective cooperation.
