From March 14 to March 18 this year, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and the Academy of Public Administration, in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 12, 2022 № 120-F, provides for the organization of training seminars for 221 First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, first Deputy khakims of regions and the city of Tashkent, as well as districts (cities) on issues of financial and economic development and poverty reduction in particular.

The purpose of the seminar is to further strengthen the qualifications of the first deputies khokims in the field of public administration, political, socio-economic spheres, as well as legal, spiritual and educational knowledge, taking into account the requirements for their professional knowledge and level.

The training seminar was attended by the heads of ministries and departments and their responsible deputies, as well as the teaching staff of the Academy of Public Administration, who discussed the issues of bringing state policy in line with the requirements of mahallas, ensuring employment of the population, increasing its income, developing entrepreneurship, and reducing poverty. , ensuring economic growth in the regions and developing the service sector, creating conditions for the development of growth drivers, the methodology for determining, Report on the cooperation of commercial banks in organizing and improving the efficiency of the functioning of the “mahallabay” system, regulatory legal acts on the privatization of state assets, types of state assets, strengthening the revenue base of local budgets, the employment of the unemployed in decent jobs, attraction to paid temporary work.

On the 1st day of the training seminar, the First Deputy Ministers of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Saidkahkhor Kholkhodjaev and Ilkhom Norkulov, Director of the Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Umid Abidkhadjaev, as well as teachers and professors of the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan were invited, with whom issues on the development of regulatory legal acts to ensure economic growth in the regions and the development of the service sector, questions were considered on the types of state assets and authorized bodies, the information system "online Mahalla" and its advantages, the methodology for determining the drivers of economic growth in the region (cities) were discussed.

The seminar, dedicated to the above topics, provided for the creation of a large number of jobs and poverty reduction through the development of services and tourism in the context of districts and villages, and also made several proposals for the effective use of sparsely populated lands.
