I. Main results of the Rural Infrastructure Development project.

The project will be implemented in 5 regions with the development of 183.6 million US dollars, it is planned to cover 1.3 million people in 306 mahallas, direct participation of the population in the selection of subprojects in these areas will be ensured.

Design estimates for the construction of 2 modern schools for 264 places in the Sahil mahalla of the Pakhtaabad district of the Andijan region for 10.1 billion soums and 220 places in the mahalla shed of the Bakhmal district of the Jizzakh region for 5.7 billion soums have been developed, contractors have begun construction repair work.

In Bakhmal, Zamin, Farish and Yangiabad districts of Jizzakh region, contracts were signed between contractors for subprojects of 8 types of clean drinking water, repair work of 7 internal roads, construction of 1 bridge and 1 to improve power supply systems for a total of 54.53 billion soums and construction has begun.

The engineering companies “Single Customer Service” under the khokimiyats of Andijan, Ferghana and Namangan regions held competitions to determine design organizations for 15 sub-projects and the signing of contracts is expected.

Currently, design and estimate documentation is being developed and is undergoing state expertise by design institutes for 197 selected subprojects.

II. Issues to be discussed within the framework of the Rural Infrastructure Development project.

• Together with representatives of the World Bank, within the framework of the Rural Infrastructure Development project, to accelerate practical work to address such pressing issues as the full creation of comfortable living conditions and the creation of jobs for the population living there by creating comfortable infrastructure facilities in all rural areas, one of the main goals 2nd phase;
• Formation of a proposal to be implemented in order to increase the attractiveness of the project and increase the efficiency of the project.
