In pursuance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 2, 2020, No 6003 "On improving the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings and indices, as well as the introduction of a new mechanism for systematic work with them in state bodies and organizations", according to the schedule of weekly collegiate seminars among educational thematic plan approved by the Republican Council for Working with International Ratings and Indices, on May 18 of this year, the Department of Doing Business and working with other international ratings of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction in the videoconference mode held a seminar on the analysis of the work carried out by ministries and agencies, responsible for the components of the "Doing Business" Index.

This workshop discussed the expected growth and decline points in the forthcoming "Doing Business" report, based on an analysis of the comments provided by the World Bank on the 2021 report.

In addition, in order to prepare the next report "Doing Business 2022" in a high-quality manner, the Department carried out explanatory work to thoroughly fill in the Questionnaires submitted by the World Bank, as well as recommendations for filling out the final information on behalf of the Government of Uzbekistan on the special portal "Data update - Doing Business - 2022".

In order to further improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the "Doing Business" rating, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, together with the working bodies of the Republican Council for International Ratings and Indices and the relevant ministries and agencies, is carrying out further work in accordance with the approved Action Plan for 2021.
