Meeting with the delegation of Sovcombank headed by Sergey Khotimskiy, First Deputy Chairman of the Board

On December 3 in this year, On December 3, a meeting was held between the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kochkarov and First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sovkombank Sergey Khotimsky to discuss possible directions for financing various promising projects in Uzbekistan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the bank representatives were briefed on the macroeconomic situation in Uzbekistan, the ongoing reforms in the field of privatization and transformation of state-owned enterprises, as well as the strategy for reforming the banking system of Uzbekistan until 2025.
The delegation of Sovcombank expressed interest in the ongoing reforms in the banking and financial sector in the country.

Currently, the Bank's business model is based on the operation of three main segments: retail banking, corporate banking and treasury, which have an equal impact on the final results of the group. The Bank's three operating segments complement each other and diversify revenue dynamics throughout the economic cycle. In the first half of 2020, the bank ranked ninth among Russian banks in terms of assets.
Representatives of the bank stressed that they share the goal of privatization of banks with the participation of the state, and expressed readiness to hold open and in-depth talks at the first meeting.
Representatives of Sovcombank, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, as well as the Ministry of Finance will review future promising projects and programs that could be used for financing by the bank.
