Meeting with representatives of the delegation of Pakistan

On July 15 this year, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kuchkarov held a meeting with the Minister of Industry and Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Syed Murtaza Mahmud.

The meeting was attended by Pakistani Ambassador to Uzbekistan Syed Ali Asad Gilani and Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shahrukh Sharakhmetov.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in such areas as Uzbek-Pakistani economic cooperation, chemical and agro-industrial cooperation, and the transport and logistics sector.

The implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Uzbekistan in July 2021, as well as the initiatives put forward within the framework of the two-day "Meeting of Ministers of Industry of the SCO Member States and the VIII Meeting of the Council on Industrial Policy of the CIS Member States" (July 14-15 this year in Tashkent) were considered in detail.

Both sides expressed interest in further deepening cooperation in the production of agricultural machinery and the chemical industry, as well as joint efforts to enhance the use of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan transport corridor.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in further strengthening and strategic expansion of multifaceted cooperation and support for joint initiatives.
