 On July 6, the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilhom Norkulov met with the Adviser to the President of Uzbekistan on economic development, effective governance and international cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Director of the Institute of Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research Umid Abidhadjayev, First Deputy Director of the Agency for Strategic Development Rustamkhan Azizov and other responsible persons.

During the meeting, priority issues of implementing the new development strategy of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, ensuring poverty reduction by half by achieving inclusive and sustainable economic growth were discussed.

In particular, the issues of accelerating the processes of transformation and privatization of state-owned enterprises and banks, privatization of non-agricultural land were discussed.

At the same time, an exchange of views took place that the development of regional master plans will be used as a tool to ensure the practicality and effectiveness of local reforms.
