A meeting was held on April 12 between First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilhom Norkulov and Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Tim Torlot.

The meeting was also attended by Umid Abidkhodjayev, Director of the Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research, Utkirjon Kholbadalov, Director of the Green Economy Development Department, Sobir Khaytmuratov, Head of the Poverty Reduction Strategy, and other officials.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the coordination of projects in the country to develop a green economy, strengthening the participation of civil society institutions and youth.

    In addition, the development plans of the regions should include the principles of "green" growth, efficient use of natural resources and public awareness on these issues.

The two sides also exchanged views on sustainable economic growth, implementation of green projects and poverty reduction.

    At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand cooperation and discuss the above issues.
