On April 7, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Bobur Abdinazarov met with Veronika Krakovich, Regional Energy Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The meeting was also attended by EBRD Banker Malika Mirsaidova, Director of the Department of Basic Industry Development of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Temirmalik Kholikov, and other officials.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of gas supply to Uzbekistan and increase exports. In particular, they discussed issues of gas supply to the regions of the country, the mechanism of supply, as well as the electricity sector in the regions.

The parties also exchanged views on public-private partnership projects, privatization, study of world experience and received answers to their questions.

    At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation on the above issues.
