Visit to the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship by Dr. Jinwon Ahn, Professor in the Department of Management and Economics at Handong Global University, Former Assistant Secretary to the President of Korea

From April 4 to April 7, 2022, Dr. Jinwon Ahn, Professor of the School of Management and Economics at Handong Global University (HGU), former Assistant Secretary to the President of Korea paid an official visit to the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship (hereinafter referred to as the Graduate school) within the framework of the UNESCO/UNITWIN program.

During the visit, it was held lectures for students and teachers of the Higher School. In addition, Handong Global University (HGU) is expected to present the Open Course Ware (OCW) grant program for teachers of the Higher School. As well as discussion of the program of joint diplomas and the visit of students of the Higher School to the Republic of Korea during the upcoming summer holidays to participate in the Global Business Expedition (G-Bex).

The Higher School and Handong Global University have been working closely since 2015, and over the years, many joint events have been carried out, including a series of lectures, seminars, conferences, both in South Korea and online during the global pandemic.

During the pandemic, Handong Global University held special series of lectures for students of the Graduate School, such as: “Valuation in the capital markets”, “Asset pricing, Asian financial markets crisis”, “Capital market with an emphasis on the stock market”, “Digital transformation in the Korean economy”, “Strategy for digital transformation”. In addition, in June 2021, an online conference on the topic “Global Citizenship” was held with former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
Over the entire period of cooperation, more than 2885 students of the Higher School participated in a series of special lectures and seminars held by Handong Global University (HGU) as part of the UNESCO / UNITWIN program, as a result of which certificates of participation were received. Also, within the framework of the UNESCO / UNITWIN program, more than 430 books in various fields, such as marketing, management, finance, capital market, etc.

In 2021, the UUOOI (UNESCO-UNITWIN OCW / OER INITIATIVE) program was carried out to provide grants for teachers of the Higher School. Also, in February 2022, the Handong Global University (HGU) once again provided grant places for the teaching staff of the Higher School.
