Meeting with representatives of Ajou University

On February 19 of this year, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kuchkarov met with a delegation led by Vice President of Ajou University in the Republic of Korea, Project Manager of Aju University in Tashkent, Professor Jeong-Houn Son.

        The meeting was also attended by Deputy Finance Minister Jamshid Abruev, Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education Sarvarkhon Buzrukhonov, as well as the management of Ajou University in Tashkent.

         During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the further development of the activities of the Ajou University in Tashkent and future prospecties.

           For reference: Ajou University in Tashkent was founded by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 30, 2018 PD-4041 “On the establishment of Ajou University in Tashkent”, currently 839 students are studying in the bachelor's degree areas of architecture, construction engineering, electrical engineering and computer engineering.

        At the meeting issues of reducing of tuition fee for students who will be accepted for study from the 2022-2023 academic year, and the reconstruction of the university building were discussed. In particular, special attention was paid to equipping the Ajou University in Tashkent with modern educational and laboratory equipment as well as educational and methodological literature.

        In addition, in order to study in-depth the role and tasks of information technology (IT) in developed and large companies, practical aspects of the introduction in 2022 of a joint business management curriculum in the field of Information Technology at the master's degree level at the Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and with the University of Adjou were considered.

         At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the above issues and proposals and agreed to continue fruitful bilateral cooperation.
