On January 27 this year, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov held an online meeting with the head of the Asian Development Bank office in Uzbekistan Cindy Malvicini.

The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilkhom Norkulov, Asian Development Bank experts Enrico Pinali, Peter Marro and Dmitry Kabrelyan, as well as representatives of the responsible departments of the ministry.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of the pandemic, in particular, the impact of the new Omicron wave on industries, the use of new mechanisms in the formation of projects that are planned to be implemented jointly to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, the provision of public services and infrastructure development, the implementation of projects based on state-private partnership.

Also at the meeting, the parties exchanged views on government support for new emerging projects, expansion of international cooperation, development of the mortgage market, the private sector, and attraction of private sector investments in project financing.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
