On October 22, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilhom Norkulov held a meeting with Manager for the Project of teaching based on curricula of the London School of Economics under the Tashkent State University of Economics, Professor Gavin Kretzschmar.

During the meeting, the sides discussed areas of cooperation proposed by the LSE, in particular, practical assistance in establishing a training center at the Tashkent State University of Economics on the basis of separate LSE educational programs, cooperation on financial support, mutual distribution of payments under contracts between partners, allocation of state grants, until the project reaches financial stability.

The parties also exchanged views on the ministry's proposals on the project to be implemented by LSE, including the directions of project development by LSE, and future plans, the number of foreign specialists involved in the project, the existing problems and financial costs, annual student enrollment forecasts, prospects for future master's degree, within the framework of the project, joint work on improving the curriculum and teaching process of the Tashkent State University of Economics.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation on the above issues.
