On September 6, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kuchkarov met with Vice President of the Asian Development Bank for Private Sector and Public-Private Partnerships Ashok Lavasa.

        The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Permanent Representation of the Asian Development Bank in Uzbekistan Cindy Malvichini, Deputy Director Enrico Pinali, Chief Economist Bekzod Jalilov and First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilhom Norkulov, Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov, as well as First Deputy Director of the State Private Partnership Development Agency Zokir Bozorov.

        During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of public-private partnership, current and future cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank in this area, the ongoing projects on PPP.

        The sides also exchanged views on the ongoing large-scale reforms in the country, in particular, the reforms in state-owned enterprises and the work being done to privatize state-owned banks.

        At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen cooperation on abovementioned issues and future plans.
