On June 24 of this year, a meeting was held with the Executive Director of the French development agency (FDA) for operations Jean-Pierre Marcelli and the first deputy minister of Economic development and poverty reduction Ilham Norkulov.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation with the French Development Agency on the strategy of transition to a "green economy", energy efficiency and capacity building were discussed.

At the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on supporting the national strategy for the transition to a "green" economy in order to develop a new program of state loans and attract "green" investments, as well as on increasing the potential of personnel in the field of "green" macroeconomic forecasting and planning.

During the FDA meeting, proposals were made on the development of financial and non-financial instruments to support the "green" economy.

The parties also discussed and exchanged views on the "Green economy financing mechanism" (GEFM) project, which is being implemented in Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of this event, small and medium-sized enterprises were informed about the allocation of loans for the introduction of "green" technologies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue further cooperation in all priority areas.
