On June 18 of this year, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilkh Norkulov met with First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Andrei Ivanov, as well as Deputy Ministers Dmitry Volvach and Polina Kryuchkova.

During the meeting with Deputy Minister Polina Kryuchkova, issues of organizing the exchange of experience in the field of macroeconomic analysis and forecasting were discussed.

Deputy Minister Dmitry Volvach informed the Uzbek side about the Russian experience in the development of interregional cooperation with foreign countries, in particular, about the programs of cross-border cooperation "Russia - EU".

During a meeting with First Deputy Minister Andrei Ivanov, the issues of studying and analytical support of investment projects were considered, from the point of view of assessing the level of their direct and indirect impact on the development of the economy, in the field of increasing labor productivity.

As a result of the negotiations, taking into account the above proposals, an agreement was reached on the preparation of a bilateral document to expand further interaction between the ministries.

A meeting was also held with Vladimir Nazarov, Director of the Scientific Research Financial Institute of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

The parties discussed potential directions for the development of cooperation between the Scientific Research Financial Institute and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in particular, in the areas of macroeconomic forecasting and modeling, assistance in the development of methodology for state investment programs, as well as policies in providing social support aimed at reducing poverty.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue joint cooperation.
